I'm proud to announce the Lady Penman line of hats. These hats are custom creations by Alyce Cornyn-Selby for Penman hats.

At age 13, Alyce convinced her best friend that they should spend all their hard-earned allowance buying two hats. Never losing that enthusiasm for acquiring hats, years later Alyce would have the dream job of becoming the executive curator of The Hat Museum (www.thehatmuseum.com), America’s largest with over 1,000 hats. Schooled in felting and costuming, Alyce has
put hats on the heads of “Jane Austen,” “Hello, Dolly” and “Scarlet O’Hara”.

What is it about hats?
“You’re not stuck with who you think you are---you can change your hat and change your whole outlook. You can be ultra feminine or tough as nails---your hat sets your mood. Katherine Hepburn said, ‘Sometimes I don’t approve of my attitude!’ and sometimes I don’t approve of mine either...so it is great to have the option to change it. And, of course, you get much better treatment by the airlines when you wear a hat.”
What is it about hats?

'' the Adele" is a collaboration between myself and Alyce. This hat can be made using pure beaver or pure rabbit felt. I have a wide range of felt colors to choose from: Black, Charcoal, Steel, Granite, Navy, Dark Moss, Wine, Dark Brown, Pecan, Natural, Sahara, and Silver Belly.
